Goodbye ‘Marites’? Facebook adds notification when you screenshot in Messenger

MANILA, Philippines — Meta Chief Govt Officer Designate Zuckerberg announced now not too prolonged ago that Facebook Messenger now has notifications when somebody screenshots your disappearing messages in a secret conversation. 

In his Facebook account, Designate stated that the recent update is secured with end-to-end encryption.

“Original update for end-to-end encrypted Messenger chats so that you simply ranking a notification if somebody screenshots a disappearing message,” Designate wrote. 

Designate furthermore stated that they’re including GIFs (Graphics Interchange Format) and stickers within the chat. 

“We’re furthermore including GIFs, stickers, and reactions to encrypted chats too,” he stated. 

The disappearing messages in Facebook was once first introduced in November 2020. The transfer was once section of an effort to acquire additional safety.
