Here’s What We Know About The Digital Vaccine Certificates (So Far)

Those flying out of the Philippines starting Monday can sign up for vaccination certificates online or at their city as authorities move to provide a uniform digital document stating the jab status of Filipinos. To unify the different vaccine cards nationwide, the Department of Information and Communications Technology said it would launch the portal in September. The digital certificate can be printed or be scanned on a phone.

For now, only Overseas Filipino Workers and those traveling for emergency purposes will be granted a vaccination certificate. The soft launch covers those from Metro Manila and Baguio, with expansion to other areas to come in the next weeks.

Residents staying in the Philippines are not yet allowed to sign up for the VaxCertPH. Vaccination cards from your city will still be honored. The Bureau of Quarantine will still process yellow card applications, which is required for some countries. VaxCertPH will not replace yellow cards.
