NorthPort Batang Pier (6-5) defeated Alaska Aces (3-8), 122-94 to claim their sixth win to secure the fifth spot at the end of the 2021 PBA Philippine Cup elimination phase on Thursday at the Don Honorio Ventura State University (DHVSU) Gym in Bacolor, Pampanga.
Robert Bolick Jr. led the Batang Pier with a huge triple-double of 22 points (6/13 FG, 7/8 FT) including 3 three-pointers, 13 rebounds and 13 assists in 34 minutes of play. Jamie Malonzo with another solid game of 21 points (7/13 FG, 2/5 3PT), 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 blocks.
NorthPort advances to the quarterfinal round against fourth seed San Miguel in a best-of-3 series.
