Ogie Alcasid and Regine Velasquez are celebrating the same day in October when they both became officially Kamilya.
Both signed their contracts with ABS-CBN on October 17—Ogie in 2017 and Regine in 2018.
Ogie’s short caption in his post yesterday, October 17, read: “Happy anniversary to us mahal! Three years for you and four for me. Salamat #kapamilya”
Janno Gibbs, Melai Cantiveros, Jugs Jugueta, and Ruffa Gutierrez, were among the celebrity friends of the two OPM icons who left congratulatory comments on Ogie’s post.
Both Ogie and Regine were permanent fixtures on GMA-7, particularly in the defunct Sunday noontime show S.O.P., before they decided to make career changes.
Ogie left GMA-7 in 2013 and signed with TV5. After three years on TV5, Ogie accepted a project in ABS-CBN in late 2016 as a judge in Your Face Sounds Familiar, which aired in January 2017.
Ogie signed a network contract with ABS-CBN in October 2017.
Regine, on the other hand, had been a regular star of GMA-7’s S.O.P. since 1998 but it was only in 2008 when she signed an exclusive contract with the Kapuso network.
In September 2018, after Regine finished hosting GMA-7’s The Clash, she decided to leave her other show, Sarap Diva, and no longer renew her contract with the Kapuso network to join Ogie in ABS-CBN.
In October 2018, Regine finally signed with ABS-CBN and became a part of ASAP Natin ‘To.
Both Ogie and Regine remain as part of ASAP Natin ‘To until today.
